Upcoming Events!

Lots of events coming up at Ogden Lodge . . .

Pancake Breakfast!
Join us for breakfast on October 19th between 6 AM - 10 AM for our "World Famous Pancake Breakfast" at Ogden Lodge in beautiful downtown Ogden, Illinois.  Oh, wait, maybe our pancake breakfast is "Internationally Reknown..."  I can never remember.  Either way, it's good, and by donation.

Blood Drive
Our next Community Blood Drive will be on November 2nd between 9 AM - 1 PM, so be sure and come share the gift of life.  One pint of blood can potentially save three lives, and it only takes a few minutes.

December Dinner
We are working out the details to have a Past Master/Community Builder Dinner in December.  More details will be put out when we get closer.

2nd Annual Masonic Charity Trail Walk A Huge Success

Our Runners This Year
On Saturday, September 14th, 2013, Ogden Lodge No. 754 held its 2nd Annual Masonic Charity Trail Run at Homer Lake. We got a beautiful day, and had a great turnout. We were able to raise $5,000 for our charity this year--the Crisis Nursery in Urbana. We believe a lot of the reason we did so well this year is because of the well- known work the Crisis Nursery provides in our area. It wasn't difficult to get people involved in helping to raise funds for this fantastic organization.
W.M. Steve Guess presenting Check To Crisis Nursery
We'd like to thank all of our runners and walkers, our sponsors, the all the volunteers that gave so generously of their time. It takes a lot of time, and a lot of people to put on a race. Special thanks to the Homer Fire Department and Arrow Ambulance for being on hand during the race, and Urbana Masonic Lodge No. 157 for the use of their trailer.

Ogden Lodge Begins Planning 2nd Annual Charity Trail Run

Our first Charity Trail Run was so successful, we've already begun planning the Ogden Lodge 2nd Annual Charity Trail Run at Homer Lake tentatively set for September 14th.  The first big challenge is picking the charity.  In keeping with our goal last year, we decided to select a local charity, and the members this year decided they wanted to support a children's charity.  It was decided in our February Meeting that the proceeds from this year's race will be donated to a very worthy cause--the Crisis Nursery in Urbana, IL.

We will begin looking for sponsors, and putting up early registration information soon.  Please contact me if you'd be interested in being a sponsor of our event this year at webmaster@toddcreason.org and I'll send you some information.

It's a great cause, it was a very fun event last year, and we hope those of you that participated last year and helped sponsor us will help us spread the word.

Ogden Lodge Sponsors IL-CHIP

The staff--set up and ready to roll

Ogden Lodge held an IL-CHIP program today. We had all kinds of help today and the event went off without a hitch--well other than the fact I failed to get a picture of any children being run through the ID stations.

Taking a break

Special thanks to our Master-Elect Steve Guess and PM of Homer Chuck Fritz for buying pizza for our help today. It was a lot of fun.

Young "Master" Ketchum made it clear today he intends to be a Mason one day

Congratulations to Ogden Lodge's Newly Elected Officers

Last night Ogden Lodge elected their officers for the 2013-14 year.  Congratulations to our new dais officers WM Steve Guess, SW Carl W. Lewis, and JW Denver Phelps.  I'll post the entire list once it's finalized.

We're working on the dates and times for the public installation, and I'll post it as soon as the details are finalized.  We'll be installing our officers in a joint installation with Homer Lodger No. 199 as we have in the past.

Congratulations again!

Grand Master Seward Visits St. Joe No. 970

Grand Master Terry Seward visited St. Joseph Lodge No. 970 on Friday and conferred a third degree. It's not very often you get to see something like that, and there was quite a crowd. It was a very impressive degree.

Ogden Lodge was very well represented at the event thanks to a special invitation by their Master Tracy Hogan (who is also a member of Ogden). In fact all of the Ogden Lodge members who attended took part in the degree. The photo is of Ogden's Master Aaron Ketchum and the Grand Master.

Thanks again to St. Joe for including us in this rare privilege.
